At The Chapel

Hello folks, hope you're all keeping better than I am! Still not so tip-top over here, extremely busy work-wise and feeling guilty for not being able to keep up with the Project 52 portrait series (hmph) On a jollier note........

Here are a few pictures from a very special 24 hours the husband and I spent together a couple of weeks back. For Christmas, my present to Dan was a night away with dinner at a beautiful converted chapel in Bruton, Somerset, called At The Chapel. I really cannot recommend it highly enough. The room was gorgeous; huge bed with lots of puffy pillows - oh so comfortable and enormous windows with views over the village rooftops, the bathroom; so luxurious, the food; delicious! Everything was perfect. They even delivered freshly-baked-in-the-wood-oven croissants to our door in the morning.

It was the first night we'd spent alone in over three years (however, I still barely slept a wink without my Bertie - him kicking and head buttng me all night must be more welcome than I thought :-/ !). This aside, it still felt very relaxing and it was so nice to be on our own together for a change!

If you get a chance to go there - you must!

  9. That looks so lovely, Kerry! I'm glad you had a good time without Bertie - the first night away is such a big deal. (How did he go?) The way those croissants are served up looks quite futuristic to me. Kellie xx

  25. So funny how sometimes we just can't wait to get away and then can't stop thinking about what we're missing. Funnily enough, we're away for the weekend with the babe and I'm being kicked in the head as I type.

Love your photographs. Thanks for sharing. I love seeing travel photos and new places as I DO have a severe case of wanderlust at all times, ha. :)
